The Pencil
A 3D Text/Model built for animation
The Pencil has been designed for easy (manual) tracking with an onscreen control. Behaviors built in to give the pencil extra “energy” in the animation to emulate a real world appearance. Behavior animation can be keyframed to vary its effect.
There is an Opacity control — while tracking your source in the viewer, it helps to un-hide the background while you’re working with it.
A built in shadow that can be controlled with setting the light direction enhances the 3D relationship with the surface of the image.
An altitude control allows you to “lift” the pencil — the effect is highlighted by the shadowing.
